Bethesda pastors Rev. Amy and Rev. Adam Rohler recently attending the annual Covenant Midwinter Conference in Chicago, IL from January 28 to February 4. The theme of this year's conference was "Against Principalities and Powers" and featured many excellent speakers, including Dr. Haddon Robinson (professor of preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary), Dr. Cornelius Plantinga, Jr (Dean of the Chapel at Calvin College), Michael Emerson (author of Divided By Faith: Evangelical Religion and the Problem of Race in America), Dr. Marva Dawn (author of at least 14 books and Teaching Fellow at Regents College in Vancouver, CA), Rev. Eugene Rivers III (pastor of Azusa Christian Community in Boston, MA), and Rev. Jim Wallis (author of God's Politics: Why the Right Gets it Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get it.

In addition to nightly speakers and worship, there were daily workshops, a daily Bible study, and many opportunities to connect with other pastors, professors, and administrators. Nearly 1200 people attended the conference.
