Originally from Chicago, Faith made her classical music debut in December of 1997 when she performed as a guest pianist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Soon after, in 1998 she appeared as a guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Since then she has been heard in concerts, competitions and radio stations throughout United States and has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards.
In June of 2005, Faith completed her studies with Sylvia Wang at Northwestern University where she received a full scholarship to study Piano Performance and Psychology. She is currently in her final year of pursuing a Masters Degree from The Manhattan School Of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Arkady Aronov.
Beyond her career as a performer, Faith is uniquely dedicated to sharing the benefits of the piano with young children. She believes in a fun and uncomplicated method of instruction, while at the same time introducing her students to the value of discipline from the very first lesson. She incorporates many different methods of teaching in order to adapt to individual students' needs, but ultimately relies on her years of experience and pedagogy training as a solid basis for interacting with students in the classroom. Most recently, she served on the faculty at the Belvoir Terrace Summer Arts Center in the Lenox, Massachusetts.
Most of all, Faith is passionate about helping children to develop a passion for music. Many of her students have come to view her as both an instructor and a mentor, a role which she warmly invites. To visit her website, see www.harlemclassics.org.
