Serve Meals to the Homeless at Tompkins Square Park

An Outreach Event! Join Bethesda on Saturday, May 24 from 7:15-10:30am at Tompkins Square Park (between Avenue A & B from E.7th to E.10th Streets) as we partner with the Bowery Mission to serve meals to the homeless population in the park. This event is limited to 8 people, so sign up soon!

The purpose of the Bowery Mission is to "serve New York City men, women, and children caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness and dependencies of many kinds, and to see their lives transformed to hope, joy, lasting productivity and eternal life through the power of Jesus Christ." They serve an average of 1000 meals a day to the surrounding homeless community, and their shelter provides housing, rehabilitation, and training to over 70 men.
