Prepare & Serve Meals for the Homeless - the Bowery Mission July 19

Join Bethesda Covenant Church on Saturday, July 19 as we prepare and serve meals for the homeless. The purpose of the Bowery Mission is to "serve New York City men, women, and children caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness and dependencies of many kinds, and to see their lives transformed to hope, joy, lasting productivity and eternal life through the power of Jesus Christ." They serve an average of 1000 meals a day to the surrounding homeless community, and their shelter provides housing, rehabilitation, and training to over 70 men.

Bethesda has worked with the Bowery Mission several times this year, and each time we go, we hear different stories, work at different jobs, and always learn something we didn't know before. Join us!

Saturday, July 19 from 10:30am - 3:30pm

The Bowery Mission is located at 227 Bowery (between Prince & Rivington - Subway: F,V to 2nd Ave/Houston or J, M, Z to Bowery)
